Osmosis is an advanced AMM protocol built on the Cosmos SDK, emphasizing heterogeneity and sovereignty. It allows developers to create customized AMMs with deeply customizable features and governance mechanisms for liquidity providers. Launched in June 2021 by Osmosis Labs, founded by Josh Lee and Sunny Aggarwal, the platform supports trading and liquidity creation for 56 Cosmos ecosystem tokens. Osmosis raised $21 million in an ICO led by Paradigm Ventures. The DEX charges swap fees ranging from 0.1% to 0.5%, with most at 0.2% per pool. It does not support margin trading. Headquartered in Singapore, Osmosis's availability in certain regions is unconfirmed.
